Job Description

One of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Europe is seeking a Business Unit Manager for a vacancy management role in Dublin extending over a period of approximately 6 months.

The company are seeking an individual who has a positive attitude and is committed to complementing and leading the existing philosophy of courage, creativity, performance, respect, intrepidness and solidarity.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Senior Management experience in brand, product and marketing management is essential. The successful candidate will be the direct report for Sales Managers from the diabetes and cardiovascular therapy areas and therefore knowledge of these areas is advantageous.

This role is based in Dublin

Ideal candidates must fulfil the following criteria

A knowledgeable individual with vast experience in all areas of the pharmaceutical sector with specific emphasis placed on brand, product and marketing management
To monitor and critically review implementation of tactical plans against key performance indicators/critical success factors and to take corrective action as required
To use local intelligence of health system and comprehensive knowledge of products/services to develop effective solutions to customer needs
To develop therapeutic and market expertise within designated therapy areas
Dedication and commitment to the role with an achievement oriented, energetic attitude
Excellent business planning, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised and able to rise to the demands of a pressurized work environment with exceptional time management
