Our client have an immediate vacancy for a Senior .Net Programmer/Analyst based in their offices in Dublin 3.

The position is for 12 months
Working time: 9 to 5pm with an hour for lunch (7 hour day)
Daily rate: 300+ (will depend on experience of candidate)

The candidate should be available to commence work in December or worst case beginning of January 2012.

Required:
5 years+ hands-on Web programming experience using SQL Server 2005/2008 in a corporate environment.
Proven expertise in Web User Interface technologies - .NET3.5/4 C# / ASP.NET, JavaScript & HTML Structured programming methodology
Proven experience (at least 4 years) in .NET programming (C# / ASP.NET)
Experience in Database programming – SQL, Queries, Stored Procedures
Strong understanding of database development; identifying constraints and technical issues. Knowledge of source code control systems such as Visual SourceSafe or Team Foundation Server
Strong work ethic; self-starter & highly motivated. Ability to meet & exceed project deadlines & milestones.
Team Player; strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:
Develop .Net solutions using C# and Asp.Net, and industry standard application frameworks; developing prototypes; using DevExpress UI Components, building n-tier scalable applications; programming objects, events, functions, error trapping, data verification, interactions, and dynamic updating; completing documentation.
Develop, test, deployment and documentation of applications within a production environment.
Design and program SSRS reports

Specific Skills:
Excellent knowledge and demonstrated industry programming experience of C# /ASP.NET and standards developed within MS-Visual Studio 2008.
Excellent Knowledge and demonstrated industry experience of SQL Server2005/2008 and in particular database/ stored procedures design standards.
Ability to work within an established development processes.
Self-starter, focus on quality programming, great communication skills, problem solver.
Ability to reuse and expand upon existing code libraries as part of project design & development

Nice to Have:
DevExpress (Data Grid & Editor Controls)
Report writing: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Web services / Extranet Development Experience
Castle.ActiveRecord + NHibernate
ADO.Net Entity Framework
