Senior Staff Nurse required for world class private hospital in central London.
As Senior Staff Nurse you will be responsible for first class Patient care in this advanced Critical care unit.
You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of critical care nursing. To work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Sisters in their absence. Capably co-ordinate the care for a patient, participating within the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and supervising junior staff / health care assistant / student and display the skill to recognise and take appropriate action in emergency situations by
" Working with junior staff / health care assistant / students and delegating and supervising the care in a fair and equitable manner
" Recognising the signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient and initiate early interventions in a calm and co-ordinated manner
" As shift leader monitors the care of a group of patients and takes the lead in emergency situations, and evaluation of post emergency care situations

" Undertaking extended roles such as IV cannulation and phlebotomy where required
" Using all giving sets and biomedical devices appropriately
" Demonstrates and practices principles of infection control including universal precautions and initiating appropriate actions to isolate patients when necessary; participates in audit and ensures compliance
